Barcelona agree Fabregas deal
Cesc Fabregas looks set to finally complete his return to Spain after Barcelona concurred a deal with Arsenal for the Spanish international.
The 24 year old will now have a medical and discuss personal terms at the Nou Camp on Monday.
The breakdown of the deal is believed to be 29 million with a further 6 million in add on’s which will bring the total to Arsenal’s figure of 35 million.
Fabregas, who joined Arsenal as a 16 year old and holds the record for the youngest first team appearance, has been linked with a return to the Catalan for the past three seasons and their long chase looks set to come to an end.
A statement on Arsenal.com read “Arsenal announces this day that they have reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona for Cesc Fabregas to move to Spain.
It signals the end of the midfielder’s eight-year spell at Arsenal. Fabregas joined the Club from Barcelona as a 16-year-old in September 2003 and made 303 appearances, scoring 57 goals in all competitions.”
